St. Leonard Elementary School students got a visit from a few “Duck Dynasty” characters recently to help them celebrate good behavior on the school bus.
St. Leonard Elementary School is serious about good behavior on schools busses. As part of the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program, students earn a “bus mile” when they demonstrate good behavior. Each time a bus earns 40 miles (40 positive trips home and back to school), the school celebrates.
Each celebration has a theme, and the first celebration of 2013-2014 was: WE’RE HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY ABOUT YOUR GREAT BUS BEHAVIOR. St. Leonard staff members joined in the event with “Duck Dynasty” inspired costumes.
“As you can see, the staff members at SLES go to great lengths to encourage positive bus behavior,” said Principal Toni Chapman. “We love to support our drivers in this way.”
