Stop by any of the 16 branches of Anne Arundel County Public Library for a fun-filled summer! From now through August 31, kids, teens and adults can participate in Summer @ Your Library for a chance to earn rewards and win fantastic prizes.
This year’s theme, “Unearth A Story”, invites participants of all ages to discover new adventures through reading, activities and experiences. Whether you’re helping Sneaks search for buried treasure, creating your own path through a Choose Your Own Adventure challenge or completing a Wild Card Bingo board, there’s something for everyone this summer.
How to Participate
Participants can track their progress in two ways:
- Download the Beanstack app to participate digitally
• Pick up a printed gameboard at any AACPL branch
Summer @ Your Library is free to join and runs through August 31.
For Kids
Kids can participate in the Summer Quest with Sneaks and help our adventurous friend travel down the trail in search of buried treasure.
Read, complete activities and track your progress throughout the summer to earn rewards along the way. After reaching key milestones, participants can choose prizes such as:
- Free books
• Keychains
• Silly Putty
Kids can also receive a free Summer @ Your Library T-shirt while supplies last.
After reaching the halfway point, participants can visit their library to collect a prize and receive a ticket to enter drawings for larger branch prizes. Complete the challenge to earn another prize and another chance to win larger branch prizes such as:
- Mini projectors
• LEGO® dinosaur kits
• National Geographic dinosaur excavation kits
• Dinosaur musical instrument sets
For Teens
Teens can participate in the Choose Your Own Adventure challenge by reading, completing activities and earning points throughout the summer.
As participants reach milestones, they can earn rewards and entries into the grand prize drawing. Bonus activities throughout June, July and August provide even more opportunities to earn entries.
One lucky teen will win a Nintendo Switch 2 bundle!
For Adults
Summer isn’t just for kids.
Adults can participate in Wild Card Bingo by completing activities, reading and exploring library resources all summer long. Participants can earn entries into the grand prize drawing while discovering new books, programs and experiences.
One lucky winner will receive four round-trip airline tickets courtesy of Southwest Airlines.
Events All Summer Long
To keep participants engaged, AACPL branches across the county will host fun, entertaining and educational events throughout the summer, including:
- Live animal experiences
• Dinosaur adventures and Jurassic-themed programs
• Pirate music and interactive science shows
• Magic shows and hands-on STEAM activities
• Stories told through opera
• Family concerts and sing-alongs
• Trivia nights
