Stay cool in the full-dome theater and planetarium at the Robinson Nature Center in Columbia.
Check out the night sky or see movies like “Earth, Moon and Sun” or “Black Holes.”
In addition to the planetarium, the nature center has tons of interactive learning opportunities, like the Chesapeake Bay Watershed and Life of the Forest exhibits.
Kids will love the Discovery Room, which has an animal wall with live critters, and the Touch Tank, which is open on weekends and has sea life that children can get their hands on.
Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children age 3-17 and is free for children younger than 3. The center is open Wednesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. Note: the center is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
