100 Days of Summer Day 37

To cool off, finding a fun place to swim is a must. While there are plenty of pools to visit, finding one with fun water features makes for a great summer day. Chill out with the kids on a hot, sunny day at Glenn Dale Splash Park in Prince George’s County.

Glenn Dale Splash Park Features

The outdoor community pool has tons of water features that the kids will love, including a zero-depth entry main pool.

There are multiple waterslides for the kids to zoom down. There is also a fun lily pad crossing to make your little ones test their frog leaps. For the littlest ones, a shallow toddler pool gives them a great place to cool off and play. Other fun features include spraying mushrooms and floating animals.

The facility also has lockers, changing rooms, showers and a vending area. However, the vending area may not be available so it is advise to bring bottled water to stay hydrated.

Before you visit

Since 2020, there have been updated procedures in place to avoid over-crowding and to allow proper cleaning. Here are some things to keep in mind before you visit the pool.
