This family-friendly food truck and music festival at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds is a now in its third year and keeps getting better.
In addition to two music stages and more than 40 bands—of both kid- and adult variety—there are tons of fun activities for the kids, including rock climbing, a Lego building station, face painting, corn hole, helicopter rides, and giant Jenga! The festival also features over 25 food trucks full of sweet and savory foods with over 30 venders!
New for the 2018 Nextival, is a camping area, inspired by parents who don’t want to spend over $20 on tickets so that their child can wait in a long line to only ride the attraction one time. The Nextival is full of fun and free activities for your child of 12 and under!
Ticket prices are $10–$22 depending on the day of attendance, and whether or not you purchase a weekend pass; children 12 and under get in free with purchase of an adult ticket. Proceeds from this year’s event, according to festival creator, Billy Zero, “ go to nonprofits that benefit both our local music community and the Capital Gazette Families Fund after the recent tragedy that happened in Annapolis.”
The Nextival runs Friday, July 13, 5:00–10:00 p.m.; Saturday, July 14, 11:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m.; and Sunday, July 15, 11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
