Stay out of the rain and break out the finger paints!

paintingKids will love painting their own designs and with bright colors, and it’s a great way to get them thinking creatively and using their imaginations.

For a simple, cheap and fun craft, you can have the kids make their own rock animals. To create a rock animal, all you need is a smooth rock from outside, paint and paint brushes. After you choose your animal, use a pencil to sketch an outline on the rock, and then fill your outline in with paint.

Or, you can trace your kids’ outlines on a large sheet of paper and let them color in the outline for a ‘self portrait.’ And if you can make a trip to the craft store, certain kinds of paint can be used to spice up plain mugs or plates.

You can also go the traditional route and create a watercolor or finger paint masterpiece to hang on the fridge. There are hundreds of other fun ideas online; all you need is paint and creativity!
