Take the kids to see a free summer concert outdoors.
There are plenty of summer concerts going on at venues all across Maryland, and a concert and a picnic can be a great way to spend the night with the family. Take lawn chairs or a blanket, sit out in the setting sun and enjoy the music.
Tonight, you can see Swamp Candy (a Mississippi blues and roots band) at 7 p.m. at the Chesapeake Maritime Museum. The concert is free, but a $10 donation is appreciated. Or, you can see Afro Bop Alliance for free at 6:30 p.m. on the front lawn of Maryland Hall as part of their free summer concert series.
