Summer Fun—Day 69: Catch a Summer Concert

Summer is a great time of year to enjoy outdoor concerts with the family.

The weather is warm, the sun is out late and the kids can run freely while you enjoy a picnic dinner and a good show, making summer concerts a great activity on a weekend night.

Two Saturday series that are still going strong are the Saturday Night Summer Concert Series at Waugh Chapel Towne Center, and the Quiet Waters Park Summer Concert Series.

At Waugh Chapel, you can relax and unwind in the beer & wine garden sponsored by Bonefish Grill. Don’t miss balloon art & a pre-concert magic show every 3rd Saturday of the month.

In August, catch these acts Saturdays at 7 p.m.:

8/3/19—Magical Mystery Girls—All female Beatles tribute band

8/10/19—Foreplay—A tribute to 70’s rock

8/17/19—Tumblehome*—Rock, blues, and R&B, with a heavy focus on classic and contemporary rock

8/24/19—Appaloosa—Popular songs with a party atmosphere

*Kids night!

At Quiet Waters, bring a picnic for the family and relax while the kids play on the lawn for these August shows from 6–8 p.m.:

8/3/19—Fractal Cat—Psychadelic rock

8/10/19—Assisted Living—Music from Rock ‘n’ Roll’s Golden Era

8/17/19—(5:30–7:30 p.m.)—Zakke—Nine-piece Latin Fusion Band

8/24/19—(5:30–7:30 p.m.)—Kelly Bell Band—Hip hop, funk and blues, electrified!
