Summer Fun, Day 71: Spend a Stormy Day Inside

With a day of rain and wind ahead, stay inside and play!

Today’s not a day for outside fun, instead, cuddle with the kids and try out a new show or two. Having potentially exhausted new movies on Disney+ or Netflix, try out these funstreaming showsthe whole family will enjoy.

Or get the kids’ brains working with these fun, and educational videos on YouTube. If you have a Harry Potter fan at your house, set them on a mission to find fun Potter-themed activities online with these great sites.

Looking for a non-screen activity? Get out the Legos and challenge your kids to build something from a Lego ideas calendar, or try a Pictionary themed game by challenging the kids to build something from a random idea generator online. Give them a small bin of bricks and a time limit and see what they create!

Other ideas to keep the kids from saying “I’m bored” all day:

  • Puzzles
  • Paint pictures of something you find in the house
  • Make homemade ice cream
  • Bake cookies
  • Make a stop-motion movie
