Summer Fun—Day 73: Visit the Howard County Fair

The Howard County Fair is going on this week, featuring great rides, animals and other family fair fun!

There are lots of activities for kids, including rides, games, a petting zoo, pony rides, magic shows and live music.

Visit the Kids and Critters Barn to pet goats, bunnies and other cuddly farm animals. The petting zoo is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. but is closed between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Kids will also love watching a pig race, which happens daily at noon, 3 p.m., 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The fair has rides for all ages, and each day there is a special discount for tickets. Sunday have pay one price special for $20 which includes both Sundays.

There is also tons of food and drinks to buy, like funnel cakes, fried Oreos, burgers, sausage and homemade lemonade.

The fair is open daily from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. from August 3 until August 10, 2019. Admission costs $5 for ages 10 and up ($7 on weekends), and is free for children under 10. Parking at the fairgrounds is free.
