Summer Fun, Day 75: Take the Family Fishing

A day on the water with your family is about as priceless as it gets. Add catching a first fish and you’ve got a winning memory for everyone.

There are tons of spots to fish in Maryland—from the Chesapeake Bay to its tributaries to lakes, rivers and ponds. Maryland fishing licenses are required. However, kids under 16 are not required to have a license.

Bring a smartphone and let your kids try and identify what kinds of fish they are catching.
