Take the kids horseback riding in Rock Creek Park this weekend.
There are trail rides for older kids, and pony rides for the little ones. Let your kids experience what it’s like to ride a horse and explore the stables. It is a great way to expose children to gentle animals and animal care.
The trail rides last about an hour and travels through the extensive park trail system at a walking pace. Younger kids can ride ponies for a half hour and stay close to the stables. Be sure to wear long pants and close toed shoes. Helmets are provided.
