Summer Fun: Summer at Anne Arundel County Public Library

100 Days of Summer Day 38

Spend the summer at the Library! The Anne Arundel County Public Library has 16 branches around the county with over 1 million books, movies, and other items to check out. They so many cool things to offer, do, check out, and see!

Did you know you can check out fishing poles, ukuleles, and museum passes (check out tomorrow’s 100 Days of Summer post to explore Historic London Town and Gardens which you can do for free from the library!) with a library card?

You can also check out Playaway launchpads, which is a durable tablet with built-in games that don’t require an internet connection. The library also has a 3D printer, Chromebooks, Memory Lab, Hotspots, and Launchpad Learning tablets available.

In addition to all of this technology and cool stuff to check out, the library also offers weekly kindergarten readiness storytimes and tons of free events for kids and adults. Find details here for daily events and for their Summer Program happenings, including their summer reading program where you can win prizes just for reading!
