When the weather is perfect for a day on the water, head to Beaver Dam Swimming Club in Cockeysville.
Hang out on the beach and when you are ready to cool off, enjoy a freshwater quarry with a rope swing and small cliffs for jumping in the water. Or choose to swim in one of the two pools. Lifeguards are on duty during regular hours.
Children must be 4 years old to swim in the quarry and an adult must accompany kids under 14.
There are also volleyball courts, a snack bar and grills for barbecues.
Open Saturdays, Sundays, and Holiday 10am-7pm; Monday through Friday 11am-6:30pm
