Go on a Salt Water Marsh Canoe Excursion at Smithsonian Environmental Research Center today, Saturday July 30. This event is for ages 8 and up to canoe paddle around the Rhode River Salt Marsh. Cost: $18 for ages 8 to 13; $20 for ages 14 and up. 9-11:45 a.m.
If you can’t make it today, there are so many things the family can do at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center (SERC) in Edgewater. Campus is open for hiking, biking, and paddling, Monday through Saturday, 8:30am-4:30pm. Guided tours also offered. There are many different organized activities that you can do with the kids like canoe excursions, evening lectures and information hikes.
