There is great fun for kids of all ages at the Maryland State Fair including rides, animals, and games.

State FairLivestock and horse shows take place every day starting at 9 a.m. Kids can check out all the animals and even see baby animals being born at the Birthing Center, which is open daily 10 a.m.-10 p.m.

Visit the U-Learn Farm starting at 10 a.m. daily and kids can discover what an egg looks like as it develops, tour a miniature greenhouse or check out other hands-on activities that teach how agriculture impacts daily life. Also see the bigger-than-life-sized interactive milk carton and learn all about dairy cows and products.

The Kiddie Land Rides are open at noon during the week and at 10 a.m. on the weekend. For bigger kids, the main midway rides are open at noon during the week and 10 a.m. on the weekend.

The fun and activities are bountiful. The fair runs until September 4.
