Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum lighthouse

Learn about the history and culture of the Chesapeake Bay at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels.

Families can explore exhibits with activities, visual arts, original artifacts and indigenous watercraft in 10 different buildings situated on the waterfront overlooking the Miles River.

Talk with shipwrights and visiting captains about their vessels at the boatbuilding shed, or check out the 1879 Hooper Strait Lighthouse for a view of the harbor.

Today at CBMM from 11am-1pm, watch a model Skipjack race. Included in the general admission cost.

Admission is $16 for adults and $6 for children ages 6–17; children under 5 are free and passes are good for two days. The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
