Take the family fishing in Maryland— Summer Fun

100 Days of Summer— Day 34

Taking the family fishing is a great way to get your family together outside.

Fishing Dad

There are many spots to fish in Maryland from piers on Chesapeake Bay tributaries to lakes. Maryland fishing licenses are required. However, kids under 16 are not required to have a license. Learn more about fishing license requirements on Maryland’s DNR website.

While you’re out on the water, bring a smartphone. Kids can try and identify what kinds of fish they are catching. The FishVerify App can help you easily identify a fish with a quick pic.
