Just start high school? Now is the time to start thinking about what you need to do to apply for college. It’s right around the corner.
“There’s more to the college application process than meets the eye,” says David Gibson, former college admissions advisor at St. Mary’s High School in Annapolis who now has a private practice. “A lot has changed since mom and dad applied to college.”
Gibson, who also worked in admissions at the Naval Academy, Georgetown and Catholic universities and Trinity College, says the key is starting early in a student’s high school career. “The junior year is the busiest year during the college application process.
