Tobacco-Free Kids Week underway in Anne Arundel County

Enter T-shirt design contest

All County schools and community groups are invited to participate in Tobacco-Free Kids Week. Kids from preschool to high school and other youth-oriented groups will celebrate smoke-free living with activities that include pledge walls, trivia games, anti-tobacco displays and presentations.

The T-shirt design contest winners in three age categories will get iPod touches, and the winning designs will be printed on T-shirts for the sponsoring groups. All entries will be posted on the “Showcase” page of the Smoking Stinks website at www.SmokingStinks.org.

Learn To Live encourages county residents to make healthy lifestyle changes that reduce their risk of cancer and other illnesses. For more information on nutrition, obesity prevention, smoking cessation, sun safety and cancer screenings, visit the Department of Health’s websites,
