There are a million ways to explore the world virtually. Here are five ways to expand your horizons this week, April 13 to 17.

 

Monday, April 13

Bo Knows Mammals
2 p.m.
Get to know the critters at the Virginia Living Museum with a virtual meet by a VLM ambassador animal! Virginia Living Museum also does Facebook Live events daily at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Tuesday, April 14

Mars Mission Challenge
Noon. 
Check in with the Maryland Science Center each Tuesday at noon for new Mars Mission assignments, and to see the progress our community is making. This week’s mission is to think about how we would be able to generate electricity for the technology we would need to survive on Mars.

Wednesday, April 15

Children’s Theatre of Annapolis Musical Theatre Jazz Dance Workshop
11 a.m.–noon
Join this innovative and exciting virtual dance class for kids ages 8 to 14, which includes warm-up and cool down stretches, dance technique, vocabulary, and a dance combination. Classes will be held via Zoom. Put your best foot forward and have fun in the process in the educational and enjoyable class!

Thursday, April 16

B&O Junior Junction Virtual Story Time & Activity
Follow along with the B&O Railroad Museum for a virtual story time. Then try out the posted activity, downloadable for printing at home. Stories include Rosie Revere Engineer, The Garbage Barge, Easter Engines, and more. The story time videos and activities are available for free at BORail-Education.org.

Draw with JJK
