Join Westfield Annapolis as we plummet to the deep blue sea and get “Tanked” this summer! Wayde King and Brett Raymer, brother in-laws, who own run Acrylic Tank Manufacturing (ATM), one of the largest aquarium manufacturing company in the nation, will be making the trip to Westfield Annapolis to install two one-of-a-kind fish tanks.
Filming will take place mid-May and the show will be nationally televised on Friday, June 7 at 9 p.m. on Animal Planet (Time/day subject to change. Please check local listings).
One of the enormous, conceptual tanks will be built in the new Dining Café, just outside of Banana Republic. In partnership with the U.S. Naval Academy, this tank will portray a large sailboat and other related features. The second tank will be built inside the Westfield Annapolis Dining Cafe, which will serve as a table seating up to 15 kids.
“We are so excited to work with Wayde and Brett of Animal Planet’s hit show, “Tanked,” and make Westfield Annapolis really come to life with the installation of these two tanks,” says Christi Wallace, District Marketing Director for Westfield Annapolis. “Westfield strives to create the ultimate family oriented shopping experience, and we know children and families are going to be amazed by this feature.”
Westfield Annapolis is one of few select malls in the country to accommodate families shopping with children, offering KidCare, Indoor Westfield Family PlaySpace, and the newest addition, the Family Lounge. The new dining café features four new eateries; YoLavie Frozen Yogurt, SMAK Café, Squisitos Pizza and Pasta, & Dumpling Dojo, in addition to a Kids Bounce entertainment center (Bubble Bounce), which offers an alternative option to the Dining Court for shoppers to eat. The new Dining Café will be open on May 15th, with a grand opening event to take place on June 5th at 10am.
