Online Trivia
With the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum
8–9 p.m.
Put your Bay and boating knowledge to the test with Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in a series of free virtual trivia nights. No registration is required. Guests are encouraged to team up with members of their household or connect with friends virtually and join the game. Rounds are themed, and questions may cover anything from Chesapeake cuisine to landmarks to knot puns, and everything in between. Make sure to find the event on CBMM’s Facebook page each Monday for a hint about a round in that week’s game.

Gardening for a Budget-Minded Kitchen
6–7 p.m. For ages 14+. While some veggies are already affordable at the grocery store or farmer’s market and might not be worth the effort to grow (hello, onions!), there are some other kitchen staples that you can easily grow at home to save money. Tune into this class to find out what they are and listen for other money saving cooking tips.

spyMind Games: Intelligence Analysis

Test your skills, uncover your cognitive biases, and dive into the world of intelligence. Special guest, former CIA analyst Cindy Storer who worked the Osama bin Laden case and is featured in the HBO documentary, Manhunt, will take questions and share her insights. *For Grades 7-12.

Live Cooking Class
2:30–3:30 p.m.
Join the DC Public Library for an hour of learning, reading and cooking! We will have a nutritionist showing us how to cook very easy recipes using fresh ingredients! We will also learn about nutrition and healthy eating habits for children and families. Recommended for children up to 8 years of age and their caregivers. Everyone is welcome!

Support the Chesapeake seafood industry by joining this virtual happy hour featuring a few of the Oyster Recovery Partnership’s pros who’ll teach us how to order, shuck, store, prepare, and pair oysters at home! Learn about great oyster-pairing beers from Flying Dog Brewery; learn about life on an oyster farm; see demos on how to safely shuck oysters; learn about shell recycling; get recipes; and maybe even win a prize! Green Queen’s Art Scene: Virtual Eco-Art Fun!

Join the virtual artLAB as we reduce, reuse, and recycle common household items while learning fun art and craft techniques! Great for all elementary grades. This week we’ll have fun weaving! Pre-registration required; pay what you can. 

Storybook Nook
Noon, Maryland Science Center
Join the Maryland Science Center on Facebook Live, where they’ll be reading a story or two and have an easy at-home activity to go along with. This week, we’re having a plant party! The books will be all about green growing plants.
