Vounteers needed at Easton NSC
Neighborhood Service Center in Easton provides 450 bags of food to the community each month. NSC Director, Marilyn Neal, explained that volunteers are needed year round and WRUS is already planning a return visit on their next service day.
“We would like to spread the word in the community that we welcome volunteers and donations,” she said. “We have a small staff and a big need to fill. We need help with answering phones, stocking our pantry, working in our shelter, and homework support at the youth center. Donations of food and clothing or monetary donations are also greatly appreciated.”
WRUS students agreed that they would like to help again soon.
“I thought it was an enjoyable experience because I like knowing that I am helping people,” said WRUS freshman, David Townsend. “The work wasn’t hard and we got a lot of baskets put together.”
