We all want to be stronger and healthier, but in a time when we are all stressed, exercise is a great way to simply feel better about yourself and redirect your perspective.
Whether your routine is going to the gym or participating in a weekly workout class, we aren’t all able to get our outside classes for our daily dose of exercise. Enter the workout app. We’ve found some great exercise apps and resources that you can easily do from home.

Fitness Apps for Mom, Dad, & Teens

J&J Official 7 Minute Workout App is a fast, simple, science-based way to make every minute count and workout anytime, anywhere! You can do one, two or three circuits. You can watch the clock, the trainer, or listen to and control music during your workout. Or, swap out workouts to keep things interesting. Of course, you can also stick with the original 7 Minute Workout. Free.
Charity Miles is a perfect fit during this time when the community is coming together in big ways. Once you create your account, you are prompted to select from over 40 charities to give back to. Once you start your activity, you are sponsored by a brand to complete your task. Your activity, distance, duration, and the total amount earned by the community for your chosen charity is displayed on the dashboard. For the Kids
Pokemon Go is a fitness app in disguise. Join Trainers across the globe who are discovering Pokémon as they explore the world around them. Pokémon GO is the global gaming sensation and will keep your kids moving and catching some of their favorite creatures. Free. Ages 9+
If your kids are fans of Harry Potter, there is a similar app they will love found here that is also free to download. Free. Ages 10+
NFL Free 60 is an app that will put your little one right into the game. It’s an augmented reality game in which players take real steps to explore in the game. Players can collect NFL players to build their roster, play catch, train, and prepare with them for competition against other teams. When a player moves, jumps, turns, and dances while holding their phone, their virtual player does the same. Free. Ages 4+
Geocaching is a real worldwide treasure hunt. Users of this app will need to go out and find treasures. The app acts as your toolbox and tells you everything you need to know to get started. Geocaching will require adult supervision. Free. All Ages accompanied with an adult.
Bonus App for Kids: Just Dance Now allows users to dance to music and choreography using a smartphone as a controller and an internet-connected screen, such as a computer or Smart TV to over 300 songs. A head’s up thought parents. while this app is free to download there are in app purchases to be able to play more or faster, so download this one at the risk of your kids asking for some in-app purchases. Free. Ages 4+
Fitness on TV
Check out these kid-friendly fitness YouTube channels for a fun workout.

- Cosmic Kids -Yoga, mindfulness and relaxation designed specially for kids aged 3+. There are themed episodes from Pokemon to Frozen and everything in between!
