This week on Third Floor Views we are speaking with Raymond Cooper, Founder and CEO of Rhema Motors, manufacturing Electric Cars in Prince George’s County. Rhema Motors is the 1st African American owned Electric Car manufacturer in the U.S. They have started their 81′ Dodge Omni Horizon Electric Drag Car project intending to race it in Bristol, Tennessee Oct 14-16 at the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals.
Cooper says “The car will also be the ‘Mule/Pre-Prototype’ that we use to add our proprietary components to that we look to build in our production model electric car, effectively becoming our ‘Proof of Concept.’
This project is also sparking our STEM program that we plan to work with local Maryland, D.C. and Virginia schools and recreation centers to teach the youth and young adults about the technology and jobs of the future with Electric Cars, Wind Energy, Solar, Energy Storage etc.”
