Archbishop Spalding Theatre presents Cinderella

His royal highness Christopher Rubert, son of her majesty queen Constantina, son of his majesty King Maximilian is giving a ball and your family is invited to join in the fun as Spalding Theatre presents Cinderella, opening March 2nd with shows through March 10.

Cinderella

Spalding Theatre is proud to present Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella on the Spalding stage! The musical is based upon the fairy tale Cinderella, the story of how a young woman forced into a life of servitude by her cruel stepmother and self-centered stepsisters, who dreams of a better life.

The production stars senior Diana Rach as the title princess, and junior Michael Twele as her prince, Christopher. To find a bride for their son, Christopher’s parents King Maximillian (junior Michael Parlett) and Queen Constantina (senior Juliette Winnard), send the royal stewards Lionel (junior Michael Howerton) and Leopold (senior Paul Raeder) to invite all the village to a royal ball.

Cinderella, longing to attend, is hindered by her wicked stepmother (played by senior Madeline Lomvardias) and her three bratty stepsisters: Grace, Joy, and Punctuality (played by senior Abby Badro, junior Caitlin Keller, and junior Sydney Abbott respectively). Luckily, Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother (senior Felicity Davis) teaches Cinderella the difference between dreaming and doing, and uses magic to help Cinderella attend the ball and find true love. Embrace and enjoy the magic, humor, and fun of this classic, complete with a live pit band and all your favorite characters!
