Noontime New Year – 2020
Dec. 31. Join us for an intimate, fun and bedtime-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration that will have kiddos and parents smiling and enjoying a well-deserved day of play, fun, and time together as we say goodbye to 2020 (woohoo!) and hello to a new year! Take part in fun (and physically distant) New Year’s Eve activities as we countdown to a year full of new adventures! Advanced registration required due to limited capacity. $17.95. 10 a.m.–3 p.m. Port Discovery, Baltimore.
Midnight Noon Party – 2020
Celebrate the ball drop before bedtime with the Maryland Science Center at Midnight Noon, brought to you by Domino Sugar. Join in on the socially-distanced festive fun before we rock out to a virtual performance by popular kids band, Milkshake. The entire science center will be open and ready for you to explore. Make a sound shaker, fill a snow globe, and take on your family members in our giant games that will be stationed all across the building. All activities are free with paid admission. Tickets should be reserved in advance due to attendance limits.
You can also join in online on the Maryland Science Center Facebook page with hands-on activities, a livestream performance by Grammy nominated Milkshake, and of course—a countdown to the new year at noon!
Noon Year’s Eve with Chesapeake Children’s Museum
Free Virtual Event. Crafts, Songs, Stories and more until it’s time to countdown to Noon! Starts at 10:30 a.m. on the Chesapeake Children’s Museum Facebook page.
Noon Year’s Eve Party – 2020
Dec. 31. Stay home and countdown to noon with your favorite end of the year library program! Join us live on the Discoveries Facebook page for stories, songs and our annual countdown to the new year. 11:30 a.m.–12:15 pm. Anne Arundel County Public Library.
Midnight at 6 – 2020
Ring in the New Year with an exciting fireworks display every hour at 6 p.m. Walk through the Symphony of Lights, entertainment, music, food vendors, party favors and more. $15; ages 4 and under free. 5–10 p.m. Symphony Woods, Columbia.
Say Goodbye to 2020: A Virtual SJA New Year’s Celebration
Join us for a very special St. James Academy’s event, an interactive virtual concert featuring big band, Motown, and other favorites from Dr. Phill Butts Orchestra, with all proceeds going to benefit the children of West Baltimore through the work of St. James’ Academy. Want to hear what you’re in for? Before the ball drops, you won’t want to miss this year’s event, including great feel-good music that’ll make you get up and dance as well as special commentary by Dr. Phill himself. In addition, we’ll feature a trivia contest and prizes! 9–10:30 p.m. $25.
Noon Year’s Eve Party
Celebrate the new year with a performance by bubble magician Meadow Perry and a countdown to noon! Register via Zoom to receive login details. Free. 11 a.m.
New Year’s Eve Virtual Pajama Party
Ring in the new year with music, dancing and finger plays with the Anne Arundel County Public Library. Pajamas optional. A Take and Make craft will be available at the Busch Annapolis branch to use at the party. Sign up to receive Zoom information. Free. 4 p.m.
Noon Year’s Eve at the B&O
Don’t miss Noon Year’s Eve at the B&O, where your little ones can bring in the New Year well before bedtime! This kid-focused daytime New Year’s Eve celebration features fun festivities including New Year’s Resolution writing and party hat making stations. Then, join us for a countdown to 12 Noon, when we’ll give an early welcome to the New Year with celebratory confetti and streamers, and of course, a ball drop! 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
New Year’s at the Hyatt in Cambridge
The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina, is offering a socially-distanced New Year’s Eve celebration in which families can ring in 2021 with a socially-distanced game room, movie screenings in the resort’s spacious ballrooms, and several outdoor activities throughout the day including disc golf, putt-putt, yard games
including oversized Jenga and cornhole.
In addition to the New Year’s Eve festivities, guests can enjoy outdoor walking paths and trails along the Choptank River, an on-site Oyster Farming Exhibit, and nightly s’mores and marshmallow roasting at the resort’s Grand Fire Place.
Holiday Pops with Jack Everly (Virtual)
Dec. 31. Artistic Partner Wordsmith joins this special holiday episode with a new rendition of “Twas the Night Before Christmas” as a reflection on 2020. Principal Pops Conductor Jack Everly presents a program of holiday cheer featuring familiar favorites including “Sleigh Ride”, “A Hanukkah Celebration,” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”. Spend part of your holidays virtually with the BSO! $10 Pay per view. 8 p.m.
