Once Christmas is over, celebrating this holiday season continues with these New Year’s Eve events!

We have found plenty of family-friendly New Year’s Eve fun listed below—including celebrations that wrap up way before bedtime and a few grown-up events if you’re getting a sitter.

Midnight Noon Party – 2022

Everyone’s favorite ball drop before bedtime is back! Count down to the new year at the Maryland Science Center’s annual Midnight Noon celebration! Enjoy loads of festive activities that will get you in the mood to celebrate. Explore all three floors of hands-on science exhibits. Rock out to the bright and exuberant tunes of Marsha and the Positrons, and help us ring in the New Year with a noontime ball drop! All activities are free with paid admission or membership.

Noon Year’s Eve Party – 2022

Let little ones ring in 2023 a little early at noon on December 31! We will have books, dancing, noisemakers, and a countdown to noon! 11:30am-12:30pm.

Midnight at 7 – 2022

Symphony Woods, Columbia
Ring in the New Year with an exciting fireworks display at 7 p.m. Walk through the Symphony of Lights on their final walk of the year. $15; ages 3 and under free. 5:30–7:30 p.m.

Noon Year’s Eve at the B&O

B&O Railroad Museum, Baltimore
Don’t miss Noon Year’s Eve at the B&O, where your little ones can bring in the New Year well before bedtime! This kid-focused daytime New Year’s Eve celebration features fun festivities including New Year’s Resolution writing and party hat making stations. Then, join us for a countdown to 12 Noon, when we’ll give an early welcome to the New Year with celebratory confetti and streamers, and of course, a ball drop! 10 a.m.–1 p.m.
